Leadership. Experience. Opportunity.
These are more than just words. They are the foundation of what it means to be a Leo. This past school year, the Connellsville Leo Club, sponsored by the Connellsville Lions Club, proudly inducted 27 new student members, strengthening a movement of youth leadership and service that’s transforming Connellsville one project at a time.
The first induction ceremony took place at Connellsville Area Senior High School on December 17, 2024, where 22 students were officially welcomed into the Leo family in a school-wide celebration of youth service. The second group of 5 students was inducted on March 31, 2025, during a special ceremony held at a Connellsville Lions Club meeting. Both events marked an exciting step forward for the club and a meaningful moment for our community.
Founded on June 10, 2021, under the guidance of Lion Lori Wiltrout, the Connellsville Leo Club has been a vibrant space for high school students to discover their passion for service, learn essential life skills, and connect with other like-minded peers. Leos serve their club, school, and community—all while developing as compassionate leaders of tomorrow.
Why Join the Connellsville Leo Club?
- Leadership Development: Through officer roles, service projects, and hands-on experience, Leos build confidence and real-world leadership skills.
- Community Service: Members give back to their neighborhoods, learning the true meaning of purpose and pride through acts of kindness and care.
- Personal Growth: Leos gain insights from Lions who’ve served for decades, creating a bridge between youthful innovation and time-tested wisdom.
- Lifelong Impact: Many Leos go on to become lifelong Lions, carrying the spirit of service well beyond high school.
Together, Leos and Lions form a powerful team—learning from one another, working together, and making a lasting impact in Connellsville and beyond.
