The Connellsville LEO Club continues to embody the spirit of service this holiday season. After two months of dedicated work, the Connellsville LEO Club successfully completed and delivered their annual Advent Calendar Stockings to residents of the Heritage Apartments on the afternoon of December 4.

This heartwarming project began in early October, with Connellsville LEO Club members collecting donations from generous community members and local supporters. Over 1,000 items were thoughtfully gathered, wrapped, and organized into festive advent-style stockings—each one filled with care, compassion, and holiday joy.

The Connellsville LEO Club then hand-delivered the finished stockings to each of the residents, bringing smiles, conversation, and holiday spirit to each recipient. Every stocking was uniquely packed with small gifts, treats, and thoughtful surprises - one for each day leading up to Christmas.

“This project is about more than just the gifts - it’s about making meaningful connections and reminding people that they’re not alone during the holidays,” said the Connellsville LEO Club advisor, Lori Wiltrout. “These young leaders are showing the kind of heart and commitment that truly reflects what being a LEO and a Lion is all about.”

The Connellsville LEO Club, sponsored by the Connellsville Lions Club, is a youth leadership and service organization that gives students opportunities to develop skills in community service, teamwork, and civic engagement. This annual Advent Calendar project has quickly become a beloved tradition that continues to grow in impact and reach.

From collecting and wrapping to delivering with a smile, the Connellsville LEO Club demonstrated the powerful difference young people can make when they come together to serve.
