The first Connellsville Cares Card Writing Session was a heartwarming success, held in the welcoming boardroom of the Carnegie Free Library of Connellsville. Connellsville Lions Club members Lysa Greer and Sarah McGinley, joined by Connellsville Leo Club members Kate Adams and Maddie Gratchic, worked on creating thoughtful holiday cards for local residents.
The Purpose Of The Card Writing Session
This initiative, part of the Connellsville Cares service project, is about more than just cards—it's about creating connections, sharing joy, and showing our neighbors that they are cared for during this special season. The holiday messages they crafted will bring smiles and warmth to many in our community.
Upcoming Events Planned for 2025
We’re excited to announce that Cards of Connection Writing Sessions are returning in 2025! These meaningful gatherings are your chance to spread kindness and bring a smile to someone in our community through the power of a heartfelt card.
Each session offers an opportunity to connect with fellow volunteers, learn more about the Connellsville Cares initiative, and discover ways you can help make a difference.
Whether you’re crafting messages of cheer, sharing encouragement, or nominating someone to receive a "Card of Connection," your participation helps build a stronger, more connected Connellsville.
