The Connellsville Lions Club is once again hosting its annual Animal Wellness Clinic—a much-anticipated event that serves as both a fundraiser and a valuable community service. This year’s clinic will take place on May 4 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Yough River Park, offering convenient and affordable wellness services for pets in the area.
Clinic Services and Veterinarian
We’re excited to welcome back Dr. Amy Nicewonger, a trusted veterinarian who will be providing a wide range of wellness services for both dogs and cats. Here’s a look at the services that will be offered:
- For Dogs: DHLPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza), Leptospirosis, Lyme, Rabies, and Bordetella vaccinations.
- For Cats: FVRCP (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia), Feline Leukemia, and Rabies vaccinations.
- Additional Services: Microchipping, ear cleaning, and nail trimming.
The clinic is designed to ensure local pets have access to essential health services in a friendly and convenient setting. Not only does this event make pet care easier for pet owners, but it also helps raise funds that the Connellsville Lions Club reinvests into community programs throughout the year.
Payment and Event Details
Payments can be made by cash, check, or credit card, offering flexibility for attendees. Whether you’re a new pet owner or looking for a convenient way to keep up with annual vaccinations, this clinic is here to support the health of your furry family members.
Supporting a Great Cause
Spotted around town advertising the event are Lions Club members Bob McDowell and Harold Pritts. Their efforts, along with those of other club members and volunteers, make this annual event possible and impactful. Every service provided helps not only pets but also strengthens the club’s ability to serve Connellsville in a variety of other ways.
