The Connellsville Lions Club, with steady support from the Connellsville Leo Club, staffs the stand—not just to serve food, but to serve the community.
The Lions are the heart of this operation, handling the bulk of the work week after week—from setup to cleanup, through every game of the season. This year, the Leos have stepped up as well, especially during booster events, helping lighten the load and gaining real-world experience in service.
But here’s what many may not realize:
Every single dollar spent at the Falcon Stadium concession stand goes back into the Connellsville community.
That burger, drink, or sno cone? It’s helping fund programs and services right here at home.
Where Does the Money Go?
A full 40% of all profits go directly to the Connellsville Falcons Football team, Boys & Girls Soccer, the Band, and the Cheerleaders, supporting the very students playing and performing under the Friday night lights.
The remaining 60% fuels the Connellsville Lions Club’s Community Fund, which supports the bulk of what we give back all year long. This includes everything from:
- Assisting local families in need
- Providing eye exams and glasses
- Sponsoring youth service projects
- Supporting senior programs
- And much, much more
This fundraiser isn’t just important—it’s foundational. It allows us to say "yes" when the community calls for help.
Connellsville Leo Club Building a Legacy
In addition to helping with the main concession stand, the Connellsville Leo Club has been running their own sno cone booth, using the funds raised for school-year service projects. From holiday stockings for Heritage House to supporting classmates and volunteering at local events, these young leaders are learning that giving back starts with showing up.
